Clarification on Message Type and Little Endian

Hi, I notice in the LAN protocol, in the protocol header section there is the Message Type field and the example shown says:

Now we have to indicate the message type. The different message types are listed in the Device Messages and Light Messages pages of the documentation. We are changing the color of our lights, so lets use SetColor, which is message type 0x66 (102 in decimal). Remember to represent this in little endian.

66 00

I’m very new to working with binary/hex protocols but from what I’ve read about big endian little endian that looks more like big endian to me since the larger value comes first. Can someone please clear this up for me?

Thanks,
Casey
